Welcome to Palomino Pines!
We’re the only true guest ranch in the greater Milwaukee area and the only equine property with direct access to more than 40 miles of riding trails through the pristine Kettle Moraine National Forest. Under new ownership in 2024, Michael Ruch and Marielle Howman are excited to bring an authentic Western equestrian experience to Wisconsin. We call it “Western Wisco.”
With 20 quarter horses that are all extremely friendly, especially with kids, Palomino Pines offers:
- Western-style riding lessons for people of all ages and experience levels available year-round in our state-of-the art, indoor heated arena.

Palomino Pines is also a horse company where horses can be boarded, bought, sold, bred and trained. Our facilities are state-of-the art with a heated indoor arena for exercising horses year-round. We have a barn that provides some of the best accommodations available for a stalled horse with 24 heated stalls that are 12 x 12 feet in size, automatic waterers, grain feeders and rubber mats.
