About Us
Michael Ruch and Marielle Howman purchased Paluso Guest Ranch in Kewaskum, WI, in 2024. Now known as Palomino Pines, the ranch is a dream come true for the couple who met on the property several years ago where their love of horses, equestrian hospitality and each other began.
Next was a move to Colorado where Michael and Marielle became immersed in the Western style equestrian experience. Living on a ranch where the nearest grocery story was two hours away, they experienced the indescribable allure of this rugged lifestyle and the awe-inspiring setting where people came to stay, ride and share their love of horses. This was where Michael had the opportunity to learn the horse ranch trade – the first step in making his passion for luxury country hospitality and everything associated with horses a reality.
Now, Michael and Marielle are back in Wisconsin where they were born and raised, bringing an unmatched equestrian opportunity to guests here. As co-owners and residents of Palomino Pines, the couple invite you to visit and enjoy “Western Wisco” at the very special horse ranch they call home.
*DISCLAIMERS*
This is a WORKING ranch. There may be equipment running early in the morning or late at night.
We are new parents – give us grace when calling. We run a small business, which means we are the phone operators as well. We may not answer due to the baby crying or is sleeping and we do not want to wake her up. We will call you back if you leave a message! Email is always best, because we can do that while baby is sleeping.
We have multiple different animals on our property. Including but not limited to horses, cats, dogs, and chickens. This is THEIR home. The dogs are not on leashes, they roam the property and typically greet our guests. They are very friendly, otherwise, we wouldn’t invite the public to our ranch.
