Trail Rides

Western-style riding through the majestic Kettle Moraine State Forest is what we’re known for…and why people keep coming back. There’s really nothing like it. Our own stable of 20 kid-friendly quarter horses makes this a very popular outing for individuals, couples, families and groups. All experience levels, including no experience, are welcome.

Reservations ahead of time are required.

State Trail Pass Purchase: Wisconsin DNR requires us to purchase a trail pass for each rider, which we charge $5.00 for. We purchase a daily pass, if you would like to keep the daily pass after your ride please see a staff member.

Weight Restrictions: 250lb max unless approved by Michael or Marielle. We understand people hold their weights differently and taller people may weigh above the maximum. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Ages: 8+ only. We do not allow double riding at all.

Physical limitations: You will be required for safety reasons to be able to get on and off your horse without assistance. We do have mounting blocks for your use. If you have any other physical needs, such as wear hearing aids, have portable oxygen, etc. please ensure you dress appropriately to keep these items safe from possible weather conditions.

Different Cognitive Abilities: Please reach out prior to booking if you or your family member has different cognitive abilities. For safety reasons, we need to know ahead of time to ensure we have staff and resources available. If we do not know ahead of time, we reserve the right to make the decision at that time if it is safe or not to go out.

Single Riders: We welcome those who want to enjoy horses but don’t have anyone to ride with, however, we do require you to join a preexisting reservation due to staffing. Please call or email us to book!

Disclaimers:

We have three dogs on property, two Labs and a German Shepherd. This is their home, they are all very friendly and are around guests all day. Please be mindful when booking that they will be outside and not on leashes.

Time booked does not necessarily mean total time on trail. This means time from start to finish with the horses. The more people booked, the more time it takes to get riders assigned, safety demo, and people up and out safely. If you are looking for more of a one on one experience we recommend booking during the week, but we do not guarantee you will be the only ones in the group.

There are chances you will be riding with beginners and/or children.

We ride rain or shine so dress for the weather. Closed toed shoes are required.
